On December 17, the 2022 First Low-Altitude Economic Development Conference (Wuhu, China) opened. Co-sponsored by the Wuhu Municipal People's Government, the Anhui Provincial Department of Transport, the Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and the National Low Altitude Economic Integration and Innovation Research Center—with the guidance of the Anhui Provincial People's Government—the conference took place in Wuhu from December 16 to 18. Its theme was “Developing Low-Altitude Economy and Creating a Better Future”. Honeycomb Aerospace was invited to attend and delivered a special report titled “Unmanned Smart Honeycomb Helps the Construction of a New Generation of Smart City Air Security System” at the UAV Professional Service and Low-Altitude Safety Conference.

He Shushan, Vice Governor of Anhui Province, delivered a speech via video. Zou Peng, Executive Deputy Director of the Central Air Traffic Control Office, did the same. Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, including Wu Manqing, Chen Zhijie and Yang Changfeng, attended the opening ceremony. Huang Yong, Director of the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission, and Shan Xiangqian, Secretary of the Wuhu Municipal Party Committee, delivered welcoming speeches via video and in person respectively. Shen Xiaoming, Deputy Director of the East China Regional Administration of CAAC, made a speech. The head of Honeycomb Aerospace Big Data Center delivered a special report titled “Unmanned Smart Honeycomb Helps the Construction of Air Security System in a New Generation of Smart Cities”. Starting with the composition of the low-altitude economy industrial chain, its development status, and the main challenges it faces, he expounded on the role of Honeycomb Aerospace's air security solution — the Unattended Smart Honeycomb System — in relevant construction. He also introduced in detail how to comprehensively utilize intelligent unmanned airports with vertical takeoff and landing capabilities to boost the low-altitude industry's development and shared the technological innovation achievements and industry-related cases of Honeycomb Aerospace UAVs. Looking ahead, relying on the self-developed Unattended Smart Honeycomb System, he aims to integrate unmanned intelligent technology with new-generation information technologies like remote sensing, the Internet of Things, and cloud computing, thus promoting the integrated development of the Unattended Smart Honeycomb System with other industrial sectors

This conference is the first comprehensive event themed on the low-altitude economy since it was incorporated into the Outline of the National Comprehensive Three-dimensional Transport Network Plan. The conference showcased the achievements of the low-altitude airspace management reform in Anhui Province and the development of the low-altitude economy in Wuhu City. It explored the development directions and paths of the low-altitude economy, deepened cooperation in industries and key sectors, and promoted the high-quality growth of the low-altitude economy.
