On May 17, 2022, in the "2022 Flood Control Practical Drill of the Telecommunications Industry in Anyang City", the participating units included important principals from companies such as Anyang Radio and Television, China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Tower. Wang Xinting, the vice mayor of Anyang City, delivered an opening speech, and Honeycomb Aerospace carried HC-540 and HC-342 UAVs to participate in the event. Honeycomb Aerospace carried out aerial emergency support work such as high-altitude monitoring, video back-transmission, equipment delivery, and river-crossing cable laying, etc., and successfully completed the air drill task, which was highly affirmed by the telecommunications industry of Anyang City.

After the reporter said, "Command center, the emergency support teams of all units have all arrived at the scene and are implementing on-site emergency communication support", the HC-540 drone of Fengchao Aerospace started to take off for a live combat drill.

HC-540 is a large vertical takeoff and landing fixed wing UAV newly developed by Honeycomb Aerospace. It adopts an oil electric hybrid power system, with a payload of 30kg and a maximum endurance of 8 hours. It can carry different mission loads to complete normal inspection, 2D / 3D aerial survey and special equipment transportation. The platform has full autonomous flight capability, It can carry missile launching equipment to accurately track and strike the target.

The fuselage is molded from carbon fiber and foam sandwich, featuring a light structural weight and high strength. The wing and tail are all detachable.

When the communication base station is affected by the disaster and becomes inoperable, the HC-540 UAV with heavy load capacity and long endurance serves as the lifting platform, carrying wireless base station equipment and transmitting antennas. It can quickly take off and replace the ground fixed base station, thus rapidly restoring the 4G/5G mobile communication in the disaster area. The HC-540 UAV achieves real-time scheduling and efficient command, fully demonstrating the practical combat support capability of the airborne unmanned communication platform. It also solves the practical problems of being unable to send in rescue forces and transmit information in extreme situations where there are interruptions in roads, power supply and network.

The HC-342E UAV also participated in this live combat drill. It is powered by pure electricity, with a maximum flight distance of 12.5 kilometers and a maximum mission load of 15 kilograms. Equipped with a loudspeaker, it can conduct real-time command of the on-site situation. When transporting small items, it is more time-saving, cost-saving and labor-saving compared with dispatching ships. In a disaster scene that personnel cannot access, controlled by ground personnel, the UAV can complete tasks such as high-altitude monitoring and river-crossing cable laying. The high-altitude monitoring images of the UAV are transmitted to the command center, which provides a guarantee for the dispatching of the command and control center and offers a new solution for emergency rescue in the first place.
